About the event
In every community, there are children at risk of entering the foster care system due to poverty, abuse, and neglect. Historically, in marginalized communities, the church has been the conduit for change. We believe through the local church, strengthening families is the lasting solution to end the foster care crisis. We invite you to join us for lunch as we launch the Central Texas Church-to-Child Initiative led by Harvest Family Life Ministries in partnership with Partnerships for Children, Foster Community and the Community-Clergy Advisory Board. Together, we will explore ways to:
- Mobilize and equip leaders to care for vulnerable children and families locally
- Engage service providers and partnering agencies in collaboration
- Empower indigenous leaders and communities to care for families in their neighborhood
We'd love to see you there. Please consider inviting as many pastors, missional leaders, and church planters as you'd like - ANY leader who wants to mobilize the Church that you know, and would love to influence and serve in this way.
The C2C Lunch Committee Includes:
Bishop Aaron Blake, Anna Blake, Kori Gough, Cristal Maldonado, SaulPaul, Councilmember Rudy Metayer, Danny Hartmann, Pete Inman, June Waters, Archbishop Sterling Lands and Paul Carrozza
